Late Term Abortion in the Media

On Tuesday January 22, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Reproductive Health Act. This act allows abortions up to full term. This bill ensures that a woman will be able to have an abortion if her health is endangered at any point in her pregnancy- even minutes before the baby is born. Many Pro-Life activists have spoken out as to why they think it is unacceptable.

With these abortions, the baby is not ripped apart. They are poisoned. The woman carries the corpse in her body for 24 hours. An ultrasound is performed to confirm that the baby has died. If he has not, the baby has been suffering for a whole day. The baby can surely feel the pain because the nervous system is developed enough. The next day, the mother will deliver her dead baby.

They people that are for late term abortions claim it is only for medical purposes, if the mother’s life was in danger. Dr. Omar Hamada, a board certified OB/GYN said that there is not a single fetal or maternal condition that requires a third trimester abortion. Delivery, yes. Abortion, no. Many doctors have pointed this out. The Pro-Life generation will keep fighting for the ones who cannot fight for themselves.
