Democrats Hate the first amendment

My interest in politics did not evolve until the 7th grade, and even at that time, I wasn’t exactly sure what I believed. My uncertainty continued up until the conclusion of the 2016 election. At first, I thought Hillary Clinton was the most qualified candidate, as she had political experience, and was running a strong campaign. Then entered Donald Trump. I have to admit, at first I was humored by his declaration to run, but after a while, I truly understood what he was about, America.

At the end, Donald Trump became our President, as you should know this by now, and things have been great, well...for those who support the country. Those who are anti-Trump view things a little differently. Instead of celebrating the accomplishments our president has done, they hold protests instead, defeating the purpose of the slogan, ‘Make America Great Again’.In my opinion, America is where it should be regarding the economy, relationships with other countries, etc...but when it comes to the behavior and beliefs of the left, much work is needed. Ever since Donald Trump was elected, I have tried to stay informed about major issues going on in our country today, as it is my goal to become President one day, but also to form my opinions and speak about what I think is right, a task that is granted to me under the first amendment, which reads:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

As a citizen of the United States, I have the right to get involved, an opportunity I don’t plan on passing up. Although I don’t agree with the majority of the protests coming from the left (pro-choice, gun control, ect.), I respect their right to express their concerns, but they don’t seem to do the same for Republicans, or anyone who disagrees with them.

Infowars has kept me up late at night numerous times, also serving as a prime example of how Democrats do not respect the first amendment. Time after time, Owen Shroyer is prevented from doing his job, just because people don’t agree with his views. He has been denied access to public events, drowned by noise from protesters, and even physically harmed at times.

This needs to stop and it needs to stop now. I don’t think we will ever reach a time period of unity, I will admit that, but let others express their opinions. It is written in the U.S. Constitution.
